So, did you all think I’d fallen off the face of the earth?:-) Well, a week after my grad classes ended, we went on vacation to Arkansas for a week. It turned out to be very eventful! DeLaney had a severe ear infection, and Julian had a double ear infection and a massive asthma attack that sent us to the ER. It was crazy, but we still had a great time. It was a beautiful setting in the mountains, and we took a day trip to Hot Springs which is a neat little tourist town. It was REALLY hot while we were there, but luckily we had a nice air conditioned condo AND a pool within walking distance. We enjoyed ourselves. I also got a transfer with my job. I am SO excited that I will now be teaching 8th grade math which is what I like the best. I am excited to have the opportunity to be teaching for an online school which will allow me to be home with the kids most of the time. DeLaney goes to preschool three mornings a week, and Julian will go to a sitter during those hours. Other than that, they’ll be home with me:-) It will be challenging, I am sure, but I am really excited to be able to earn a year of State teacher’s retirement AND get a full salary while still being at home. I will have NO gas cost and limited child care costs. I will be making less on paper than I did when I taught in a traditional school, but I will make more in the end.

Uppercase living is crazy right now! I have a party tonight, tomorrow night, and Saturday afternoon. ALSO, really exciting is that the company just launched demonstrator websites!!!! It is now MUCH MUCH MUCH easier to visit and look at the products. No more “customer corner”, but instead, you can visit at http://lisajordan.uppercaseliving.net. Notice, there is no WWW, so watch that. I’d love it if you’d add me to your list of favorites! There are still great opportunities to make extra money with the company, and I’d love to talk to you about it. I am really enjoying myself, and the money is pretty good. I was skeptical when I signed up, but it really is. The great thing is that other than buying supplies, I don’t use that account to pay out. I just keep putting more money IN. That should build up rather quickly. I am trying to save enough to send our family to Disney in 2010. I don’t think that should be a problem:-) I’d love to talk to any of you who either like the product and would like to order something or who might be interested in selling yourself. It is really fun, and I am enjoying it a lot.

Well, I have a full day! DeLaney had a big sleepover last night with two friends, and I figured something out. She’s gonna kill me as a teenager:-) The three of them are ages four, four, and five, and they didn’t go to bed until almost 11. Then they were up talking and giggling from 4 until 5 am when I MADE them go back to sleep. It was cute, but I am exhausted. AND I have a million things to do today. Is my grad. class over yet?

WOW. I haven’t updated this thing in way too long! I am losing my mind with “busy-ness”. I am trying to finish up this graduate class, and I am so tired. I have my last paper due on Monday, and then I am finished. I will finally get a little break before I start teaching. I did take about 3 hours this afternoon and take the kids to the new waterpark in town. We had a great time, and then they napped, and I did work (surprise:-)

Uppercase Living is going great still! It is actually one of the things keeping me sane. I enjoy being able to get out of the house and associate with grown ups:-) DeLaney still likes to go and be my assistant when the party is at someone’s house that I know. My last couple of parties have been a little smaller, but I am still thrilled because I keep booking more parties off of them. I had a party on Wednesday, and I have one tomorrow (Saturday). I am trying to make the most of my upstart period which ends on August 14th. The summer splash incentive is almost over too. Well, sorry to cut this so short. I just finished answering my daily questions for my graduate class (online), and now I am going to bed. I have a party in Toledo tomorrow, and the kids are going to Nana’s house. So, that means getting up and getting on the road so there is plenty of time to drop everyone where they need to be. End of a busy week!

Hi everyone! I have had such a crazy busy week. I started my graduate class, ran bunches of errands, and am preparing to teach summer school. I also officially closed my first UL party. I had a GREAT turnout. I am closing my second party tomorrow, and I am definitely going to hit the goal I had set for myself. I am going to earn bunches of free product to use for my display, and it won’t be long until I have recooped my startup cost. I am guessing I will have made back the money I paid for my kit AND the money I put into my display by the end of doing a couple more parties. I have parties scheduled for July 1, 9, 12, 18, and 19th. I can’t wait! The summer splash incentive is really a HUGE help. Two short essays due together tomorrow, and then three things due on Monday. I am going to try to get everything done over the weekend so I can not be so stressed out. Relaxing Sundays:-)

Hi everyone! Can I just say I LOVE relaxing Sundays. Today was a typical one. We got up around 7 (I know, that doesn’t sound very relaxing huh?–but what are you gonna do when your kids are early risers:-) and had our normal Sunday pancake breakfast. That’s become sort of a tradition for us:-) Then we got ready for church and headed out. I was in the nursery today which was fun. Then we went to the new Sonic for lunch–Yum! We came home and took a nap. Gotta love that! Then we went to WalMart and picked up a few things, got 49 cent tacos for dinner, came home, gave the kids baths, and got them to bed by 8:15. Now the evening is our time to get ready for the week. We’re watching The Longest Yard on tv, catching up on our blogging, and laying out our plans for the week.

Lots of errands for me on Monday, and then I start a new graduate class on Tuesday that will last three weeks. That should keep me busy! Tuesday I will go to work in my dad’s office for the day and hopefully talk my mom into cutting my hair. I love having a mom who is a beautician:-) DeLaney has gymnastics on Wednesday morning, so I am looking forward to watching her. She enjoys it SO much! And Wednesday night Brad is teaching at Bible study, so I look forward to listening to him. Next week is already creeping into my mind also as I am teaching summer school starting on the 1st for three weeks. It only runs Tues, Wed, and Thurs, so it won’t be so bad. But, I am looking forward to the day when I no longer have 6 different jobs. I will soon just be teaching at an online school from home and doing my Uppercase Living open houses. The first is an all business job, and the second is a fun one:-) I am finding that being an Uppercase Living demonstrator is SO much more than I though it would be.

I am really looking forward to next Sunday. It will be a sharp contrast to today. I will go to the early church service because DeLaney and I will head out afterwards for Columbus. My best friend from college lives there. She is hosting an UL party for me. I am really excited. It doesn’t get much better than visiting with an old friend AND making money:-) After closing my first party this weekend, the income opportunity has really revealed itself. I make 25% commision on each party, and I am seeing quickly that this will be a profitable business for me as long as I put in the work. I booked 5 new parties off of just my first one. My sister in law had a really good first party for me which was awesome! I can’t wait to pack in as many parties as possible between now and August 14th which is the end of my upstart. I am trying my best to take advantage of all the cool opportunities that Uppercase Living is offering. I have to admit that I was skeptical at first. These jobs never work out like they’re supposed to. However, I now can see clearly that is a really good opportunity to make extra money.
